Our sales are subject to the present terms and conditions, which prevail over any other stipulation made by the purchaser. Any order sent by the purchaser implies his unreserved acceptance of the present terms and conditions of sale.

The commercial offers presented on the Dumas Piano website and social networks are therefore governed solely by this document. 

Art 1 : ORDERS

Before validating his/her order, the Customer acknowledges the general terms and conditions of sale. Once the Customer has validated his/her order, he/she is deemed to have accepted the prices, volumes and quantities offered for sale and ordered, with full knowledge of the facts and without reservation.

The personal data provided by the customer will not be passed on to third parties.

For new products, availability is indicated to Dumas Piano by the suppliers themselves.

Any modification of an order by the purchaser can only be taken into consideration if it is notified in writing (letter or e-mail) before the products are dispatched.

Art 2 : PRICES

The selling prices of the products are those in force at the time the order is validated, excluding transport costs.

Product prices are subject to change at any time as a result of external events. 

Product prices are specified on the website or on the piano labels in our showroom. Delivery conditions are indicated on the product sheet on the website and verbally when ordering at the workshop for each product.

Art 3 : PAYMENT

Unless otherwise stipulated, products are payable at the time of order. Any sum paid by the Customer prior to delivery of the product constitutes a deposit on the sale price definitively due by the Customer.  

The company Dumas Piano provides its customers with several types of payment (credit card, check, transfer or cash. Dumas Piano reserves the right to cancel an order if stocks are unavailable.

Dumas Piano does not accept cheques issued by a bank domiciled outside France, nor “Eurocheque” cheques. 

Dumas Piano offers payment in 3 instalments over 3 consecutive months by credit card, cheque or bank transfer. This payment solution allows you to pay for your order in 3 instalments, debited from the customer’s account by credit card, cheque or bank transfer, depending on the option chosen.

In accordance with article L 121-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the customer has 14 days after receipt of his or her purchase to return the piano (or other product) ordered, at his or her own expense. The customer will have the choice of either being reimbursed, or obtaining a credit note to order another product.

For the return request to be validated and processed, you must :

– to inform Dumas Piano by any means necessary so that the company can register the customer’s request.

– return the product undamaged. For products other than pianos, they must be unused, unassembled and in their original, properly sealed packaging. In all cases, the return must be carriage paid.

Dumas Piano will cover the cost of returning goods to the first floor (excluding difficult passages: stairs, cranes, etc.) within an area of 50 km from the company. Dumas Piano will send a quotation to the customer upon request. Shipping costs may be higher than those paid by the customer at the time of purchase. The carrier will take care of the protection of the piano for its repatriation.Returns with postage due will be refused.

Acoustic pianos must be stored in a suitable area (temperature between 14 degrees and 22 degrees, humidity between 50% and 70%). If the instrument is damaged or deteriorated due to poor storage conditions, the refund may be subject to the cost of the necessary repairs (the instrument is appraised on return to the workshop).  

It is advisable to take photos of the instrument before it is picked up by the carriers, in order to prove that the piano was not damaged before it was picked up by the carriers. In the event of a dispute, photos will be requested by e-mail to  contact@lespianosduvexin.fr with proof of the date the photo was taken.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must contact Dumas Piano at the following address: contact@lespianosduvexin.fr

All returns must be approved in advance.

Dumas Piano will reimburse the Customer for the price of the product and the corresponding shipping costs as soon as possible and no later than 14 days from receipt of the package, provided that the product is returned complete, in perfect condition and in its original packaging.

Art 4 : DELIVERY

Delivery is deemed to have taken place when the product is made available to the Customer. It is the Customer’s responsibility to check the piano (or other merchandise) on arrival and to make any reservations or claims that may appear justified.

Delivery is made to the address specified by the Customer when placing the order. Delivery can only be made once the order has been validated by the Customer and half payment has been received.  

In addition, Dumas Piano reserves the right to refuse any order from a customer with whom there is an ongoing dispute.

Prior to any purchase, the Customer must ensure that each piano ordered can be delivered without difficulty. He/she must take all necessary measures to ensure that the delivery runs smoothly, and that the dimensions of the piano are not incompatible with the constraints of his/her home (elevators, stairs, corridors, doors, etc.).

In the event of any difficulty(s) encountered in the delivery of the piano, for which the Customer is solely responsible, the costs incurred by a new delivery of the products will be borne by the Customer.

When placing an order, the customer must stipulate the number of floors and/or steps, the nature of the ground and the access to his/her home. In the event of inaccurate information, Dumas Piano may charge additional costs to the customer.

Deliveries are made by us in the simplest cases (first floor) and within a 50 km radius of the workshop. In other cases, delivery may be entrusted to carriers specialized in piano delivery, depending on the customer’s location and the type of piano ordered. Some deliveries may be delayed by a few days during busy periods. Before making any complaint, we invite the customer to contact the manager to discuss the order.

Without reservation on his part, the Customer accepts the piano delivered as is, and consequently no claim relating to damage sustained during transport will be accepted. It is the customer’s responsibility to make all checks and reservations upon arrival of the piano, and to take any necessary action against the carrier.

Art 5 : RESERVATION OF TITLE

In accordance with Article L 624-16 paragraph 2 in fine of the French Commercial Code and Articles 2367 et seq. of the French Civil Code, Dumas Piano retains ownership of the goods until full payment has been received from the Customer. The transfer of ownership of the products to the Customer takes place when the Customer takes physical possession of the goods.  

Art 6: GUARANTEES

New products are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. Excluded from this warranty are all products modified or repaired by the purchaser or by any other person not expressly authorized by Dumas Piano, as well as all products covered by a specific assistance and maintenance contract.

For used products, the warranty is indicated to the customer by Dumas Piano at the time of purchase.

Any return of the product under the aforementioned warranty must be approved in advance by the seller. To this end, the purchaser will contact the manager by formulating his request by e-mail. If the product is found to be defective, the seller will inform the purchaser of the procedure for returning the product. The defective product must be returned in accordance with the instructions provided by the seller. All costs and risks associated with returning the product are to be borne by the purchaser.

Art 7 : LIABILITY

The seller cannot be held liable in any way whatsoever for indirect damage. In the event of direct damage, the seller’s liability is limited to the value of the product purchased.

Art 8 : ATTRIBUTION OF JURISDICTION

These terms and conditions of sale are governed by French law. All disputes arising between the seller and the buyer in connection with this contract shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Beauvais.

Art 9: DATA PROCESSING AND PRIVACY

In application of the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, the Customer has the right to access and rectify any data concerning him/her and held by the merchant.

Art 10 : DISAGREEMENT / LITIGATION

In case of disagreement/litigation concerning a service or a product related to the Dumas Piano company, the consumer customer can address a motivated complaint to the company :

Since October1, 2023, it has been compulsory to use an amicable settlement method before going to court for a dispute involving the payment of a sum not exceeding €5,000.
